Rasulullah (saw) bersabda:

[Hadith Ibn Hibban]

Mesir, lain kali aku datang.

"Kalau ada rezeki, InsyaAllah tak ke mana." (Abah, 2012)

2 3 hari jugak contemplated nak cancel winter trip to Egypt atau tak sebab dah lama mengidam nak pegi sana. Tapi recent crisis in Middle East kinda put me off sebab firstly, Abah was against the idea of me going there and he's really worried about my safety.  Secondly, my friends in Alexandria pun cakap the same thing:  Cairo still OK masih selamat untuk tourists sebab jauh from Gaza but they did not recommend Sinai cause it's next to the Israeli's border, and with the riots are still going on, it's really really risky.

When the Palestinians and Israeli's finally agreed for a ceasefire yesterday I was soo positive that things are going to be OK, and that I might just as well continue with the plan to Egypt. But then when I got home  from a long Friday and read about today's news from the Telegraph about today's riots in Tahrir Square in Cairo over Morsi's recent decree, I know things gonna get ugly for at least a week or 2 in there. So that was when I finally decided that I should forget Giza & Sphinx for my winter.

So now that the flights are cancelled, no camels no desert for December, looks like I'll have the winter all for myself. Hahah!

Fooding vs learning?

Wait till you're deadly starving, you'll appreciate your food more. Wait till your students struggling, they'll appreciate your feedback more.

You're fungry, yes; but you might not want a big massive chuck of just rice on your place to fill in your empty tummy. Talking from experience, a starvy stomach might crave for a colourful variety rather than a qualitative one-typed quantity. My ideal portion of perut kampong would be of nasi, bbq chicken, a cute scoop of fried veges. and these would defo do the trick.

The basic same principle applies to learning, you might want to reconsider giving the huge chunks of same-typed feedback provision to your struggling students. A little bit of everything is always the best (I concur). Go for a little tangy oral feedback mixed in a mild plenary or discussion sessions. And add a pinch of peer evaluation pepper for an add-up acquisition taste - your learners will discover the savour at its best.

I know this seems to be the furthest from legitness sense but the least, that's the learning logic.

P/s: I'm friggin starving.

I'm so mad at myself right now. I can stay all night long watching The Voice and Running Man till morning but tonight I can't even manage to finish half of the chapter from this book. Look at the watch, it's not even past the midnight yet! *rage*

Slapping my face off (it hurtss), but it just didn't work on me. Right now I'm having my third cuppa and caffeine is yet to be seen kickin in.

A quarter passed 10.

If my next cuppa doesn't do the work, please someone just shoot me dead on ma face.
